Well, green won the informal vote. :)

This is the picture I pixel-sampled for the various colors; it's one of my favorite spots, a little area of the oft-mentioned Letchworth Park called Wolf Creek/Glen Cascade.

I've used this picture in creative writing workshops with kids and teenagers--asked them to decide where it is, how they got there, and what they're going to do. The range of places it's been has been pretty impressive... and it spawned the only Indiana Jones/Ace Ventura crossover I've ever seen! (A boy of about eight was lost in this jungle with his father, Ace Ventura, and his uncle--I think--Indiana Jones, and the three of them had to work out how to get back to civilization.)

What else?

Sheesh, not much else. I have an EduRant, but I'll put that on, not surprisingly, edurants a bit later.

In celebration of finally finishing the Sorting of the Marauders, I present these three chapters of "Of A Sort," all taking place on September 1, 1969:

It Begins, Part 1
Peter Pettigrew arrives at King's Cross Station by himself, but quickly meets up with the energetic and mischievous Sirius Black... who manages to get them into a running battle with his cousins before they even get out of London. As they run from Bellatrix, they meet James Potter, Remus Lupin, and a greasy-haired boy they'd rather not see...

It Begins, Part 2
Severus Snape has never had it easy in life, so he's hardly surprised to find himself covered with Dungbomb residue thanks to a pair of careless dolts. To his surprise, though, he is rescued and cleaned up by the well-spoken Lucius Malfoy and the charismatic Bellatrix Black. What better way to bond with his new friends than helping them torment a Muggle-born redhead?

It Begins, Part 3: The Sorting Ceremony
Narcissa Black, Sirius Black, Lily Evans, Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, James Potter, and Severus Snape... you didn't think that Sorting would go off without a hitch, did you?

I feel a bit...: thirsty thirsty

Your Junior Death Eaters are *terrifying*. They really don't see what's so sick and so sick and so wrong with the way that they think about people...that they, the powerful, are the only ones suitable to be Subjects and everyone 'less' than them is an Object...that their 'culture' and 'traditions' give them the right to perpetuate these attitudes and treat other sentient creatures as only means to an end...

I'm going to go curl up in my nice down throw now. :)
