Can't find in "Help"...
Does anyone know how to replace the title area at the top of the page with a graphics banner? I've noticed that some folks have them.

If there's something in the LJ FAQ, I seem to be missing it...

Haven't a clue. Your layout right now, very nice. :D

Thanks! Though I'll need to change the link color so that the names don't disappear!

You need to get into http://www.livejournal.com/customize/advanced/layers.bml

Create a css sheet that pushed the top down by however how many px the picture is and add the picture as background.

function Page::print_custom_head() {
"""

""";
}

Damn, let me try again.
function Page::print_custom_head() {
"""
<style media="screen" type="text/css">
body { background-image: url("http://URL");
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: top;
background-attachment: scroll;

margin-top: 400px;
margin-left: 0px;
margin-right: 0px;
}
</style>
""";
}

AAACK.

I think I need some good sit-down time figuring that out. :)

Thanks, though. It's appreciated.

You can pretty much copy and paste that. You simply need to change the URL and the pixel size to however big your banner is.

I'm really sorry to keep bugging on this (it's a minor matter, really!), but I copied and pasted with my URL and made a layer, but I don't know how to make it take my layer.

All right when you go to the link I gave you, there is an edit button. You hit that, and paste it at the bottom of the codes that they give you. Don't change the codes already there because those are the ones that give you your style, you just paste what I gave you beneath it.

Okay, got it. Unfortunately, it took away my books. I'd rather have the books. :)

Thanks so much for your help, though. Amazing what's underneath everything!

The books are another background, I'm assuming. Then yes, you'd have to pick one of the other. If I come up with something to have a double picture I will let you know.

Thanks. It looks like it's a accomplished with a table box on top of the background, but assigning an image to be the table background requires tweaking that doesn't seem to be allowed.

Is something like this what you're looking for?

This would only work if she has a Style 1 lj.
