Sirius was not one for Muggle literature as a rule, but somehow Remus had convinced him to read A Tale of Two Cities. Of course, Remus soon regretted this, as first, he had to put up with Sirius's complaints as he plowed through the book, and then, he had to endure a constant litanity of 'It is a far, far better thing...' every time Sirius deigned to do a task asked of him.

It was that litanity, though, that helped sustain Sirius through Azkabahn. When the sorrow and the Dementors grew overwhelming, Sirius would think of Sidney Carton, the playboy gone to his death to spare another man, and take heart. He was Sidney, in his own way, but the different was, he had not gone to save another. He would get his revenge, one way or the other.

As he fell through the veil, the last words that flashed through Sirius's mind were Sidney's. He was dead, yes, but he was dead in defense of Harry. It was best thing he had ever done.

Romeo sighed as he walked through the moors, wishing that his true love had not thrown him out of their heavenly house that morning. He drifted over to a grand manor with gardens all around it's outskirts.

The manor seemed to be deserted as he walked around inside, until he suddenly heard someone crying. He rushed towards the sound, and soon found a pale looking boy lying in a bed.

"Are you a ghost?" the boy asked, his dark eyes wide in his pale face. Romeo did not answer, only stared at the child. "Open that curtian!" the boy demanded, as if speaking to a servant. Numbly Romeo pulled on a cord to reveal a portrait of a beautiful young woman. The boy sighed sadly and Romeo wanted to make it all better for the poor child.

Suddenly there was a tug and he was pulled back home by an unknown force that controled him. Ignoring Juliet's demands he went over to his desk and began to write out a tragic past for the boy, the woman and his father, and the friend who would make it all better.
