Hmmm. Did the gym before work and came in fresh from a stint in the steam room. It's fairly relaxing.

I love reviews of fics that make it obvious that the reviewer hasn't read the fic, but just an excerpt. I was reading the VM guestbook (apparently, some of the comment notifications didn't go through), and someone who obviously just looked at the art and snippets complained that the stories must be very silly for Vader to have "a vixenish wife in red" or for Leia to be "happily enjoying a sunset with him." (The Leia one, at least I can understand, as the snippet is at the beginning of their relationship, before they crash and burn, so it's an odd image, but the one on Lady Vader puzzles me... Julie's portrait of her makes it very obvious that Vader's wife is none other than--:drumroll:--Vader's wife!)

Tell me about it. I just posted a story to FFN about a tabloid journalist on Coruscant who gets a little too close to the truth about Anakin and Padme. In it, the journalist reflects that she nearly got fooled by a decoy handmaiden earlier in the day. Now, somehow, a reviewer got from there to here:

"Heh, the idea of Padme sending off her handmaidens to create scandals with men of various species is very funny."

I must ask: what???

P.S. The art is beautiful. My compliments to the artists.

I do love both of those pieces, and all of the others in the Illustrators' Gallery. Art makes me very happy.

The artwork is lovely, its a shame that the reviewer didn't read the stories (as they're missing out on something wonderful).

The gym, ah, the gym. I've been doing mainly cardio (treadmill, elliptical, bike) and weights. Decided this week, with it being summer and all, that I'd try something new. So, yesterday I did this torture class known as 20-20-20, which is 20 minutes cardio, 20 minutes weight training and 20 minutes abs with cool down. That wasn't enough pain, I went in this morning and did Body Pump, which was actually kinda cool. I won't be able to get out of bed tomorrow, but such is the price of being fit.

I'm still going r-e-a-l-l-y slowly. Half an hour on the treadmill, keeping my heartrate in the target area for about 27.5 minutes. Of course, this is only Day 3 of my masterplan for bodaciousness. ;)

Good grief...

Are you going to reply and tell her that context is rather important here, or just let it lie?

Oh, I'm just going to let it lie. Except for kvetching on my LJ. People have the right to think a story concept sounds stupid, I guess.

Sometimes, people are on crack. *nods*

And OMG, that art! It's gorgeous!

Yes, Julie the Tall Terror and Sean Cooke are definitely among my favorite SW artists. Though Lord Acleisst sent me a terrific picture from The Penitent... which I was looking at a few minutes ago and realized that it really looks a lot like the RotS shot where Anakin is crying on Mustafar. Which is interesting, since the picture came to me months before the movie came out.

A few summers ago, a friend came up with the following theme song for the gym... sung to the tune of, fittingly enough for retelling the tale in your LJ, the Imperial March:

I, I, I, hate the gym, hate the gy-ym
I, I, I, hate the gym, hate the gym

Well, we laughed anyway. ;)
