An off the cuff request for artists - The Phantom Librarian

An off the cuff request for artists
I can't afford a commission right now, but I was wondering if an artist would be willing to help with some visual aids for the panel story645 and I are doing at The Witching Hour. It's based on the "Harriet Potter" post, where we switch all the genders and then complain about how it's anti-feminist. And I thought it would be fun to have some "illustrations" from the books to hold up as examples of the egregious sexism... what I was thinking was of pictures in the exact same poses as some of the MGP chapter pics, but with the characters' genders switched...

Mudbloods and Murmurs (Ron/Rhona looking sick and weak)
The Patronus (Harry/Harriet looking spooked by an insubstantial shade)
The Scar (Harry/Harriet doing a traditional Victorian fainting spell pose)
The Unknowable Room (Hermione/Herman confidently using magic while Ron/Rhona looks on docilely from a few steps behind her/him)

Nothing of vast import; I just thought it might be fun to have visual aids. And like I said, alas, I can't afford a commission just now. Anyone want to do it out of the goodness of your heart? It's parody, so it's fair use.

Cool, do you have a preference for which one?

Most awesome! Do you have a favorite of those to attack?

I'm thinking 'The Scar' - the silly swooning pose is too good to pass up. :D

Done! (I didn't realise TWH was so early, meep!)
Anyway, have:
the lineart
and
the greyscale-markered version.
(Hopefully, I managed to blend mine and Grandpre's styles, without too much of one or the other...)
Have fun at TWH! :D

Whee! The frilly nightgown!

I'm going to get these printed nicely at Kinko's tomorrow, I think, and find a good way to display them Friday morning.

I'm quite looking forward to it.

One thing that drives me nutz that I see al ot is when Ron and Harry (especially Harry) are written as "endearingly cluless" which actually translates to "really really stupid" in about 70% of the cases.

Well . . . um. Didn't realize 'til I read the comments that maybe you'd want to contact those interested and put down some specifications. So I made one--"The Unknowable Room". Basically a trace-over in Photoshop. Eheh. ^^;

Don't know if it's to your specification, but I figure since I already made it, there's no harm in posting a link.

Print-size

Anyway, hope it helps. ^_^

That works! I love your "Herman"--really looks like like a boy here, yet is incontrovertibly Hermione from that scene!

If I weren't feeling almost completely artistically dead at the moment--and if my scanner weren't on the fritz--I would totally do this for you. :(

Oh, feel better!

Thanks for the thought, though.

Oh, I remember the thread about this on the 'quill. I was far too amused by it then and still am. I've added you to my friends list and FINALLY started to read Shades, which I should have done quite a while ago, as I'm enjoying it as much as Shifts.
