I should be either cleaning or unpacking. I've managed to unpack one… - The Phantom Librarian
Spewing out too many words since November 2003

I should be either cleaning or unpacking. I've managed to unpack one box, in which I found more books. I really have to take a couple of boxes of them over to the library, but I'm not looking forward to lugging them over. I really, really don't need most of my college textbooks. I finally threw out fifteen year old computer manuals, including my GW-BASIC guide, which I used to write precisely one program, and never really want to use again. I also discovered my high school and undergrad diplomas. (My disdain for my graduate degree is such that when I came across the Tufts one, I commented, "Oh, look, the good diploma, yay.") There was tupperware thing full of ancient make-up (promptly thrown out, because ick), and my Trivial Pursuit game, and a couple of photo albums, including the old fandom one I though I'd lost a long time ago.

I now have drawer space. How in the world I'm going to organize everything is still a mystery, hence the needing to clean. And I still haven't figured out what to do with my NHS cords and pins and stuff.

I also found my peace sign pin. I really did used to be a little hippie girl.

Anyway, I'm debating whether or not to add a section to Remus's current interlude to establish something, or mention that it was added during the month for the next one. Either way, I'm doing a Shades update tonight.

BTW, I just realized that, after all the bellyaching, I never mentioned on my journal that I did finally get a roommate. Yay. And she has a cat.

Yay for finding someone to split the rent with a roommate! That goes double for finding one with a cat -- hopefully it won't be the snooty neurotic sort that refuses to warm up to strangers.

Oh hooray! Hopefully this one and her cat will last!

I'm always planning to get more organized and then I look at things and find myself thinking "Yes, but how exactly?" because there is always this pile that I end up sticking back into the "to be dealt with" box or file or whatever.

Good Show!

(and sympathies on the cleaning/unpacking -- I'm still doing that, too. feh)

Yay that you got a roommate! I left my NHS sash with my cap and gown, the pin is uh, somewhere. Meant to do a photo thing for my schools NHS website, uh, that never happened.

Congrats rather belatedly, but still on finding a roommate! Glad you don't have to worry about that any longer.
