There's a very yummy new Saga Journal out. lazypadawan talks about birth, death, and rebirth in RotS, and Reihla gets to every fan's favorite topic, romance--why is Darth Vader romantically alluring?

Sigh. I do love essays.

I like the first essay. We knew that ep. 3 would be filled with endings and that such an end of the good world would be much more dour if we hadn't seen the original trilogy. I think that's why the filmmakers could revel in the darkness and show it's true depth rather than paint on a layer of glittery hope. I guess the two sunsets at the end do satisfy that...oh well. Parallels are nifty.

Actually... :)

With this new issue, we've included a full Volume 1 PDF, and PDFs for each of the 13 issues we've done so far. We haven't done PDF for each essay, but the issue PDFs are fairly short (and you could always just print the pages of the paper you want!).

You can find the PDFs on the issue pages, and on the new Volume 1 page.

Both are excellent essays. I really enjoyed them.

Erik!

Yay! Really excited to see Erik from POTO mentioned in conjuction with Darth Vader, since those of us on the Phantom Phorums have been discussing that similarity as well!
