4/19 poem rec
Ah, this is where it gets fun for me. ;) I'm out of poems I already know off the top of my head, so I'm searching around. Many thanks to Poets' Corner... you've made my April very un-cruel.

Anyway, I just found this one by e.e. cummings, which I like because it's an answer to a whole lot of "what if" sorts of questions... kind of, sure, if everything were different, then everything would be different! (Of course, I think freckles are adorable, but hey, can't expect to agree with everything.)

If freckles were lovely, and day was night,
And measles were nice and a lie warn't a lie,
         Life would be delight,--
         But things couldn't go right
For in such a sad plight
I wouldn't be I.
Link to the rest.
