Lisey's Story
I've been reading Lisey's Story, the latest Stephen King book. King mentioned in an interview about it that he's more interested in the language now than he used to be, but the odd thing was, I read the article after I was partway through, and what had already come into my mind about it was that the language is more forced and less vivid than I'm used to from King, with the introductions of the various bits of marital vernacular quite clunky at first, and a whole lot more repetition of some phrases than is useful even when trying to draw attention to them to play with them.

Other than that, so far, so good.

Full review later.
