Wow. I think they got it right--right down to who all three of the bottom three should have been after last night, and who should have gone home.

I know a lot of people are hoping Sanjaya will leave, and I had a feeling that the perverse way people vote would mean that he'd get voted off on the first night that he didn't even belong in the bottom three, but he didn't. As my roommate's friend said, you knew he wasn't in the bottom three when Ryan started messing with him.

Chris wasn't horrible, but definitely was bottom three material. The bottom two were definitely who they should have been--both Haley and Phil gave performances that were lacking both in vocals and in style. I thought that Haley's good legs might keep her there another week, but, quite fairly as she had the worse performance, she went home. Phil had a good scare. He'll either straighten up or go home soon.

So much for VFTW predicting that LaKisha would be the shocking mid-season elimination this week.

I am in the camp that believes Sanjaya should have left already, but I do agree that the last two weeks his performances have been good enough to keep him out of the bottom three. I'm not a huge Haley fan, but I think Phil should have gone home instead. Perhaps either he or Sanjaya will leave next week.

I don't think LaKisha leaving would have been a shock. She's okay, but next to people like Jordin and Melinda, she's not even close to winner material.
