Last Jellyspam
Well, Jelly Roll leaves with my roommate tomorrow. One more run of Jelly pictures (plus one of Cindy). Cinderpelt will be alone in the next run of catspam, and she's harder to photograph, because she's monochromatic.

Feline gothic here...

I do wish you could keep Jelly Roll, but perhaps the new roommate will have an equally lovable kitty.

I'm just glad that he made me realize I absolutely couldn't live without a cat of my own... without him, I never would have gotten Cinderpelt.

Could he have a more perfect name? *chortle*

Oh, yeah. Jelly is the ultimate cat name. He's been on a low-cal diet, but given that there've been absolutely no spiders in the house since he got here, I think he's been sneaking a whole lot of snacks.

I have never seen a cat eat a spider! Play with it maybe, but not actually eat it. Then, given the sorts of spiders we have here, that's probably a very good thing! ;~P

You know, I wouldn't have thought it either, but I read an article, and apparently, they do hunt and eat spiders and bugs and other things of the creepy crawly nature. And Jelly eats anything he can get his paws on, no matter how bizarre, so...

Farewell, Jelly Roll, Master of the Sink, Bearer of the Descriptive Name, Eater of Food. I hope he's happy in his new home.

Eater of several non-food items as well. Whatever will I do when I can leave a plastic bag unattended without fearing ingestion?!

Awww...what a cool kitty. He knows he owns the place, and the next one too.

Thanks for the hugs. I need them. I'd best get myself together before my 9:30 meeting! I don't think explaining that I'm mourning a perfectly healthy cat who's just moving about fifty miles down the road is going to go over well with a boss type person. Or a patron type person, for that matter.

And yeah, Jelly owns whatever he wants to own. Including me!

Bye, Jelly! Hope there's a nice basin to lounge in at your new home. (Blimey, he's a huge cat - he fills that basin to the brim!)
fernwithy From: fernwithy Date: May 29th, 2007 10:28 am (UTC) (Link)
And overflows it! Weight aside, he's just a huge animal. And the vet tried to tell my roommie when he was a kitten that he'd probably never get very big!

Okay, that shot of Jelly in the sink has got to go on lolcats.
fernwithy From: fernwithy Date: May 29th, 2007 10:29 am (UTC) (Link)
Well, I sent it to Cats In Sinks (an old colleague showed me that one day, which convinced me that there's a website for everything!)

Aw! You're both going to miss Jelly Roll, I'm sure.

He probably just shook the spiders out of the walls as he walked by, then sat on them.
fernwithy From: fernwithy Date: May 29th, 2007 10:30 am (UTC) (Link)
You know, that's quite possible. I'll have to go back to killing them myself, now. (I live in a neighborhood that has tons of spiders. I'm glad they don't freak me out much!)

Glargh, maybe we SHOULD get a cat when we move to Cambridge. *Terror*

That sink shot it Hilarious....

He just has that wonderful Buddha look about him, doesn't he? Aww. I'm sorry you're losing him, but at least you've got Cindy still!
fernwithy From: fernwithy Date: May 29th, 2007 03:08 pm (UTC) (Link)
Oh, yeah. She's going to be as sad as I am when she realizes her bestest friend in the whole wide world is gone, but she's such a love. I know I don't write about her as much, but she's a great, sweet cat.

I love the shot of Jelly in the sink.

Sorry to hear he's leaving.
fernwithy From: fernwithy Date: May 29th, 2007 03:09 pm (UTC) (Link)
The funny thing about Jelly in the sink is that turning on the water doesn't faze him. If you need him out of there, you have to physically dislodge him--he'll let you wash your hands by shoving them between him and the faucet if you don't!

I like the picture of him in the sink. Very cute, indeed.

Aww! But oh how I laughed at that sink picture. Fare thee well, Jelly.
