Heh, after talk about The Greatest American Hero in the comments on… - The Phantom Librarian

Heh, after talk about The Greatest American Hero in the comments on the last post, here I am, watching William Katt in all his fuzzy-haired glory in Carrie. His hair's even bushier than Amy Irving's, and both of them make even attempted!bushy-haired!Hermione of PS/SS look straight-haired. Of course, they're supposed to be the two coolest kids in school, naturally.

I'll never figure out why they made Carrie's deep, wine-colored dress of the book into a pale pink in the movie. The deep red would have been gorgeous and be more of a cause of contention with Margaret White. Probably just so the pig's blood would show up more clearly, but with enough of it on her face and arms, that should have solved the problem.

Holy cow, I wish I didn't work tomorrow. TNT is working up to a new version of Salem's Lot (color me scared... it's one of my favorite King books, but not an especially filmable one), and right after Carrie, from 2-4 am, is Misery. Not the best adaptations of King books (those are Shawshank Redemption, Stand By Me, and Green Mile), but reasonably entertaining. I could definitely pull an all-nighter with them. Alas, I do have to be at work tomorrow morning. Sigh.
