Happy Fourth!
Happy Independence Day!

Grr. I overslept and missed the reading of the Declaration of Independence at the Old Statehouse this morning. It's a neat thing--it's the same place the Declaration was read from when it was brought to Boston in 1776.

I don't know what I want to do today. No fun going to the Esplanade for the big fireworks show alone. But I'm going to do something.

Last night, I wandered around the city for a long time after going to see Spiderman 2 after work. I saw a fife and drum core, a guy doing a yo-yo demonstration, a woman playing with hula hoops, and five very cute brothers from Ecuador playing folk music at Quincy Market. The city entertains me and makes me goofily happy for no reason.

I dislike Mozilla more and more, largely because I have to be specific about font sizes now. The standard font sizes I used in IE are now way too small. And for some reason, Mozilla doesn't like to wrap the header on my journal, so I get a horizontal scroll. Not much, if I keep the font small, but grr. I talked to a tech person at work about it and she pointed out that what IE detractors forget is that it's widely used for a reason.

As much as I dislike IE I have resigned myself to use it because I can't do things with my website in other browsers... and problems like you just said. Stupid Microsoft.

Happy 4th of July! <3
