Potterfic Weekly on Shifts, Part Deux - The Phantom Librarian
Spewing out too many words since November 2003
Potterfic Weekly on Shifts, Part Deux
Part 2 of shifts on PFW, from chapter 7-14.

Anyone have a theory on how long it is between burning days for phoenixes in Potterland? I am now consumed by this question. If it was the thousand or five thousand years of legend, then how in the hell would even Dumbledore know what it looked like?

It distracts me from an embarrassing typo that's been there for, erm, a really long time.

And I am on tenterhooks... does Scott really figure out how to stay on the line the whole time? Or is it false hope?

And how does David Thewlis display those severed heads, anyway?

If you missed part one, here 'tis.

Scott never stays on the line and if he does, someone else doesn't. We never did figure out the phoenix burning thing. It was a fun question though. *hangs head* Sorry for bringing up the typo. :P. We had a lot of fun with this. I'll start the next one tomorrow night or maybe I can pull myself out of my turkey haze and start it tonight.

Ah, false hope on the Audacity thing, then.

I can't believe I haven't noticed that typo in yea, these many years, that the story has been up. (Of course, now that it is documented, I feel I am obliged to leave it as is, to preserve the record. :tongue in cheek:)

It was so long ago that we recorded this, I'm half afraid the typo isn't there. Although Phil confirmed it this morning on the forum. It's not really a typo, in that it's not misspelled, but instead a different name. Now it's saved forever. LOL

It's probably not as long as that. Dumbledore does kinda make it sound like it's frequent. My guess is it is somewhat frequently, but only does it around people it trusts (so that people studying them in the wild would not likely see it happen very often, but Fawkes has no problem doing it around Dumbledore or students she sees no harm in).

What typo is distracting you? Is it something not easily fixed?

Oh, it's easily fixed. I called Alan Joe in the middle of a scene.
