HG timeline? Anyone? - The Phantom Librarian

HG timeline? Anyone?
Gah. Has anyone come across a viable, detailed timeline? I've seen people planting things in October when they're clearly in the summer, putting only a few days between events that might (or might not) be a few weeks apart...

I can do it myself, but I'd always rather rely on someone else's attention to crazy detailed stuff like that. I used the Lex day-by-day timelines extensively in Shifts and Shades (for OotP and HBP, respectively). I'm looking for something like that. (The OotP timeline I'm thinking of is here.)

Here's a starting point, I suppose. It's not incredibly detailed, but the HP Lexicon is ridiculously notorious for their attention to detail.

Yeah, I looked at that one. It's the best I've found, but I need the day by day. I've worked Mockingjay out until mid-September, but I don't know how long it is after her two weeks in D2 that Gale arrives. Once he does, I can pick it up again, but I'm befuddled. I think the Lex would be, too, so I'm just looking for the next time marker now.

I have enough to keep up with the Peeta story, though, so maybe I can pause and do some actual writing instead!

I don't know anything about the details of the timeline, but considering the significant physical changes in the world of HG, their seasons could be really messed up.

Re: Timeline

They don't seem to be though -- the few time checks we do get, the weather is what you'd seasonally expect it to be in the relevant locales (hot and dry in August, warm and pleasant in spring, freezing cold in January, etc.)

I made a timeline based on THG (as in the first book, not the whole series) events only -- it's in PDF form, however, and the doc pages are small (fit to the size of my phone). But its hella accurate, and includes references to both events as days (most relative to Reaping Day), as well as page numbers (of the soft-cover, post-movie version). I'll email it to you.

I tried to do it for the other two books, too, but it's hard material to work with. Nothing is specific, and all possible reference points are subjective, at best. If we call the year of the 75th Hunger Games Year 75 ADD, then the games start summer of Year 75, and end a few days later. Peeta is captured for about 5-6 weeks, with the rescue mission taking place in the last week of August -- according to a confused, often drug-addled Katniss. Other stuff happens. Prim dies in late November or early December. I'vs been combing through the books myself for my own fic.

Re: Timeline

Damn it. Sorry, that was me, Kobe Grace. Not crazy, random, albeit helpful creeper person.

Re: Timeline

Yeah, I've gotten as far as the sojourn in Two -- there's even a time-check. I can get it within a week up to there. Then there's the vagary of when Gale showed up in D2, how long Katniss is in the hospital, etc. We know it's still fall when Annie and Finnick get married. (I might put it the first weekend in October for peak foliage in southern Ontario, but seriously, the foliage is my only clue.) Then, how long is it between the wedding and Katniss finding out she's not going to the Capitol?
