Well, visited Ortho today. I'm in a walking cast, but my ankle is… - The Phantom Librarian
Spewing out too many words since November 2003
Well, visited Ortho today. I'm in a walking cast, but my ankle is still swelled and funny looking. And it's very weird walking on a rocker-soled cast; I'm actually glad I still have my crutches (and a cane for later). I used to have a pair of Earth shoes; this is the same, but much, much steeper. I feel like I'm just reeling.

Of course, to make my life complete, I twisted my thumb pretty hard getting on and off the X-ray table (too much pressure). It's not injured or anything and should calm itself down soon, but, you know... just to keep life interesting.

My front steps are scary.

That's all.

I'll try to get some Shifts up later.

*waits rather impatiently*

I can just imagine you trying to walk with a walking cast... *tries not to giggle*

Be careful!

No plastic cast? Another plaster one? For how long?

Does Citrical provide enough calcium to speed up the healing of bones?

Oh, no. It's a plastic thingamajig that I can take on and off with a complex buckle and velcro setup. So, yay, I can sleep castless. And put ice on my ankle, too.

And if it itches, you can scratch without having to use an unravelled wire coathanger to try to get the itch. :D

Glad to hear that it's healing well enough that they were able to go with the walking cast.

I've never heard of anyone getting injured while on the X ray table.

Well, at least you were in the right place to get injured. *guffaw*

Hope you get better and heal quickly!

Hihi~ A friend of mine said that you were cool and that I should add you because you usually have something interesting to talk about. Except he didn't use those words :-P

What kind of Ortho do you mean?

Orthopedics. I broke my foot. :( I'll try to make more interesting posts than the standard whine from now on. :)

Oh, oke. Well, you can whine and complain, I don't mind. That's half of what the journal is for, non?
