I did already archive. I'll just say that Haymitch missed one at the time and found out about it later.

With Kay, I think you're right. She's with it enough to tell Madge stories (though out of it enough that Madge has imagined her aunt quite fully to fill in the gaps).

You know, until you mentioned them in the same sentence, I never thought about the Huck Finn/Finnick("Finn") connection. Maybe that's how he came by his name!

Ooo, I love that as an explanation for Finnick!! All your stories are a literary geek's dream, with all the overt and inadvertent allusions.:)

With all the hell Beckett was causing, and with how much Haymitch had to shut off his empathy to keep from losing his mind, it would be a very easy thing to miss. And I'm glad to hear that Kay found some level of happiness/normality, despite it all; Maysilee would have wanted her to, and if there was some way to observe the living, would have been pulling her hair out at what the people left behind were doing in her absence.
