Ancient fandom
With the release of the SW DVDs, I'm feeling all nostalgic. I made this page, with scans of old SW fandom, including half a page of my first-ever SW fanfic (and first fanfic!), a wretched Mary Sue, and the scene even includes the patented single-tear on her cheek!

I feel a bit...: silly silly

Of course! It wouldn't be a Mary Sue without it!

Funny stuff. Of course my very first SW stories were written as a little kid and they involved such imaginative scenarios as Luke and the gang heading out to the beach.

I wish I could find the section where my character, Ciji, is tragically stabbed while defeating the Emperor's son, and Luke tearfully apologizes for never paying enough attention to her, thereby nearly driving her to the Dark Side.

I actually had Ciji do a "guest spot" in The Penitent, with Ben trying to show Luke what the problems would be if he were to marry and have children while trying to train Jedi knights, though I left her Knots Landing name out in the ether.

That's too cute. Gotta love "Bunkersville" and Lando/Danae just became my OTP. :P

Tee-hee. His wife, pop singer Phaedra Kay (a direct ancestress of Tinera Kei because I can't keep these loopy people out of my head), might object... ;P

*SQUEES* over your old stuff, cause it looks like my old stuff from an entirely other fandom (Dr. Who). *loves you* It's so nice to find people who are Fan Like That. :-)

Cute stuff! I feel a bit nostalgic, too. It's kind of odd to have a SW DVD box on a living-room table.

*giggling* "What's goin' down?"

Oh, it makes me wish I could find my notebooks with my first SW fanfic drafts. Or my old Barbie stories. THOSE would be doozies! But then, I'm sure the world is MUCH happier that they stay lost forever. :~D

I'm probably one of the few people that DON'T plan on buying the DVD set. I bought the VCDs on eBay this spring, and I've decided I'm going to wait and see if they put out a super-sized set with all six movies in 2006. I'll bet they do.

I bet they do, too. I was one of the people saying that they shouldn't try to do the classic DVDs until they were finished making the prequels. But the yummy extra stuff is just... too much!!! I can't resist!
