Why I'm slow to start writing, I think
Me: I love Coco. I love fanfic. I want to know why neither Hector nor Imelda has parents in the land of the dead. I have a great idea for a past story.

Me (2): That would have been in the era of the Mexican Revolution. And that was slightly different from state to state. So where is Santa Cecilia supposed to be?

Interwebz: Oaxaca

Me (2): Oh, lord, before I start writing I have to figure out what was happening in every town in Oaxaca throughout the 1910s, during the revolution. Oh, and also, YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE MEXICAN REVOLUTION, you bad neighbor.

Your world-building is what makes you such an amazing author. I enjoyed The Hunger Games but with your fic, I truly love the series.
