Fiction that isn't centered around a specific relationship of sexual love.

Gacking the middle one. Thanks a bunch!

I took your default one, but I also gave you credit on my profile.

I definitely agree, too; I don't mind fluff, but I don't mind non-fluff either. Even romance doesn't have to be fluffy; I'd love to read an angst fic where romance is involved, but not to the point where you actually *dislike* the characters, because you think it's pretty selfish that Ron and Hermione start snogging while Harry's dueling with Voldemort.

I took one! Thanks!

Don't get me wrong, I do love romance, but I also like a plot. And my characters in character. And there are favorite stories of mine which have NO romance at all. If the storyline is interesting, then it doesn't matter who is snogging.

Yeah, I like romance, too, but mainly as a subplot, something happening alongside minor matters like the war in the wizarding world and so on. ;)

Yeah. I prefer if the romance focus is proportional to that in canon, at least in a full-length story. I like something along the lines of AOTC in regards to "page time" IE the romance is there, it works, but there's still plenty of space to fit in the action/plot/etc. The Han/Leia storyline was handled with even LESS screentime in the OT. I never understood the "shipping" phenomenon in HP. Granted, I've only read the first 3 books at this point but I can't say I have yet cared one way or the other as to who ends up getting together romantically.

Agreed! I'm working on two fics - they are in a fanfic trilogy - where there will be some romance, but I am refusing to write any fluff where its not needed, and even the fluff will hopefully be minimal. As much as I ship, if I see a fic summary with five pairings and "Hermione kisses Ron," I'll only read it on some occasions. If I wanted all romance and no angst, I'd actually - are you ready? - go to a bookstore and buy romance novels. *Gasp*

Thank you so much for making these! Genfics are indeed sadly under-appreciated. I took the first two, and will credit you if I use them.

Hi! I'm grabbing the middle one if I may - I'm doing the gen fic recs on crack_broom this month and was looking for an icon to mark the occasion... will give credit when I use it. Thanks for making them!
