It's snowing
Yup. Snowing. Not accumulating (yet), but we've got a healthy little flurry going on out there.

Now, I grew up in Western New York and have trick-or-treated in the snow more than once (and one year when I was little, I remember a Mother's Day snowstorm in May), but dangitall, it's been awhile since that happened!

Brr, and ick. I haven't even totally gotten rid of my littler foot brace yet. I better not need boots.

I feel a bit...: cold cold

I like snow. It's raining where I'm at (well, that's because I'm further along south).

It's better than cold November rain (wasn't there a song with that in it?), but I think it had lost its marginal charm for me by the time I was seven.

They're talking about snow here tomorrow, so I'm a tad suprised you are just now getting your first snow. Usually we are towards the end of the list.

I certainly hope not, summers here are nearly unbearable as it stands.

There is no snow in California. There are still leaves on the trees, and they are a disgusting brown color.

On the other hand... Snow on Diwali is not something you see in India.

Still raining down here on the CT coast. Wish it were snowing, actually. I'd rather be snowed on than rained on in the COLD...

Oh boy...I love snow! Blow some of that pretty white stuff down South!

And I'm sure you don't need an EOM (Ethereal Online Mom) to remind you to be careful if the sidewalks get slippery so you don't reinjure yourself...but according to the Mom's Handbook, I have no choice. BE CAREFUL! (sorry...)

Wow, snow. We never get any exciting weather here. It's bright and sunny, as usual, here in Southern California. Oh well, I don't think I'd be able to handle the cold well anyway, having lived here my whole life ;)

Really? We haven't gotten any snow here in SE Michigan, yet. We should have a few flurries by now, and it always snows at least once in April. Frequently, that means a pretty decent snowstorm in mid- to late-April.

Where I did my undergrad work (Upper Peninsula) had weather more like in Buffalo. Parents weekend my senior year was the first weekend in October, since that was when the leaves were prettiest. While my folks and I were driving around a touch north of school, we passed a couple houses with snowmen out front. There were also still piles of snow on the ground when I graduated the next May. Part of me misses it. The rest of me realizes that I'm insane.

Um, is this foot injury still from when you fell out of bed, or something like that? Wasn't that several months ago?

Fled to the South, I did!

This is when it is good to be in one of the Southern states! People down here don't understand the concept of making a Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit, and when I was telling my friends a story involving someone using an auto-starter on their car to warm it up, they looked at me like I had four heads.

And my college graduation, in May, was delayed for snow. Aah, upstate New York.

I'm envious. One of the things I missed most during my brief sojourn in Arizona was the lack of snow. The first snow here I'm going to go nuts -- not least because we're living in an apartment complex and I won't have to shovel any. ;-D

You know you're in Wisconsin when you have to design a Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit. LOL

When I was in 6th grade, snow was piled up so high we didn't have a playground anymore. It snowed on Halloween AND Mother's Day that year. Most excellent. Sadly, isn't hasn't snowed this year yet. But last night was so cold my nose almost froze off.
