The Phantom Librarian

Chapter Twenty-Three (A Trick of the Firelight) just went up. Fixed some typos, added a couple more horrifying thoughts to Remus's internal monologue at the Three Broomsticks. I also put the remaining chapters up at HB last night. alkari will be happy to know that I had Sirius clarify exactly what choice Sirius is giving Remus about going to the Ministry: "...You can let me go, or you can make me waste my time finding out how many people I really can curse at one time." I pasted it all into a file, and it's 455 pages, single-spaced at 10pt Arial, approx. 190,000 words.

I'm really not good with the Stephen King theory of revision--cutting down after the initial writing. I know it's supposed to make things leaner and meaner, but it doesn't fit my writing style. I'll tend to write quickly and get the basic shape down, then go back and add some depth. So I'll keep doing things my way, I think, and ignore my Wise Mentor Figure in this matter.

Cool. I like Mulan (at least in the theatrical release). Can't say I'm much of a tomboy, but also not much of a girly-girl. I'm a denim-skirt girl. Of course, the traditions of my society are something I love.

But I'm really on board with that whole sense of self thing. Looking at all the results, it looks like this was a very narrow thing, and the only two I didn't answer any questions for were Ariel and Megara.
