Woo-hoo! Switched points of view and made up a future agrarian world. Which operates a bit too much like a contemporary agrarian world, but oh well. Contemporary agrarian worlds operate a lot like they always have as well. Which makes me wonder why SF so often makes assumptions that people will behave radically differently in the future, anyway.

Voting!

I get giddy when I vote. It was only local positions up, and no referenda, but I still get giddy. I almost forgot it was Tuesday, but I got an automated call from a candidate reminding me, so off I scooted off to my polling place.

Sadly, there was no line whatsoever, which means not much of a turnout. Bah. I guess I wasn't the only one who said, "Whoa, dude... it's Tuesday?" Either that, or a lot of people really don't care who's mayor, or who's on the city council. Next time, I'm going to educate myself better on the council candidates. That's my resolution.
