The hell...? - The Phantom Librarian
Spewing out too many words since November 2003
The hell...?
Okay, someone just posted a whole H/D story in the comments on Shifts.

I'll grant that I'm addicted to having nice, meaty comments and lots of them, but... you know, maybe it's just my humongous bighead ego or something, but I have a little twinge of annoyance when said comments have nothing whatsoever to do the story.

Good grief. I think that wins the prize for Batshit Review of the Year. Someone seems to think Sugar Quill is missing out by not having any of Maya's stories in its archive.

Oh, this is becoming a trend. Someone posted a Ron/Ginny story from epicyclical on several stories a few months ago. It's never the author in question, and I wrote to Maya to let her know someone had done this (I know I'd want to know if someone was impersonating me and posting my fics in an obnoxious way), but at the moment, I'm just quite irritated about a great many things, and when I clicked to look at new reviews, it just made me snap.

This isn't the first time it's happened? Has it happened to other SQ authors as well (it hasn't happened to me, but I only have 2 one-shots archived there)? That's just nuts, not to mention incredibly aggravating for you.

It happened to a couple of people. The professors are pretty good about getting rid of it quickly, but serious, what the hell?

I think that's quite possibly the most ridiculous review I've ever heard of. That's worse than flames, I believe. Did they even *mention* your story?

Nope, not even to say, "See, you hack, this is how you should write a story, instead of the lousy way you did _____!" It was just, you know, the story.

A while back for a long time, people kept on posting chapters from CC's story, on some of the reviews. Trolls just never stop.

Ooooookay. Someone rebelling against the mostly anti-slash rule at SQ? I'm betting that there's more than one author getting "reviews" like that today. I think "Troll" just about covers it.

In this case, I really don't think it's you who has the humongous bighead.

Wow. Who would take the time to...? Goodness. Maybe they're just excited about the 'Harry was obsessed with Malfoy' line in HBP, or something...*shakes head*

Yeah, I'm irritated because I wanted to have two new meaty reviews, but I'm not, like, outraged or anything. My eyes are rather sore from all the rolling.
