The Phantom Librarian
Spewing out too many words since November 2003
And I again pretend to be artistic. Will get to an art I actually understand later. This is Tonks on the road to Hogwarts after she rescues Harry from the train.

Just sketched on paper and colored in PaintShop, in a couple of layers (the background is all electronic).

Hey, it's still waaaaaaaaaaaaay better than anything I could come up with! You far outstrip my talent at drawing deformed stick people. :D

I love the swirling mist, it's really atmospheric. And the ear is great (I'm not all that good at ears, I usually have to fudge them a little lot), and the way you've done her eye is very expressive. In short, it's not as terrible as you seem to think!! ;) Also, I'm jealous of anyone who can use Photoshop to any sort of effect at all, because I really can't, and am not much better with coloured pencils. I'm hoping to get a tablet for my birthday, but until then shall stand in awe of the computer-colouring know-how of others. (Actually, I just hate colouring in general. Maybe I'll just start sending you lineart and you can colour it yourself. :p)

Love the swirling snow and mist, and the colour balance of the thing. And that sad downcast expression--poor Tonks!
