I hate spam - The Phantom Librarian
Spewing out too many words since November 2003
I hate spam
I get so much spam that I put aggressive controls on it. And it proceeded to block e-mail from a premium roommate service I paid for. Grrr.

Must remember to check spam folder. I've found other things in there that don't belong (though the majority does). Spammers make life lousy, and should be prosecuted for First Degree Annoyance and sentenced to a term of no less than thirty days trying to sort through other people's spam.

Oh, good, (not the spam, the fact that the roommate service did try to contact you!) I hope this means you get some good roommate leads soon!

They sound like good leads. Now, lets see if paying for a service removes my apparently permanently attached Invisibility Cloak long enough to get a response from one of them!

Well, I was using another premium one (Roommateclick.com) for most of the month and getting no joy from it.

Weird timing. Just Sunday night, I discovered my email had been shuffling e-mail from my family into the junk folder - even the addresses I had explicitely exempted from the filter. Even worse, it did this to emails from family asking questions about the invitation I sent out a week before that. *headdesk*

Spam is the bane of the earth, in so many ways.

Word ... Spammers, like mobile phone salesmen - the kind of people underfloor piranha pools were invented for. :)

just dangle their legs in the pool and they become immobile phone salesmen

or is that crossing a line of some sort?
