The year in review - The Phantom Librarian
Spewing out too many words since November 2003
The year in review
Snagged from awelkin.

Go to your Calendar and find the first entry for each month of 2005. Post the first line of it in your journal, and that's your "Year In Review."

January: I went to see Phantom of the Opera after work to pass the time until midnight and ended up chatting with a LiveJournaller HP fan.

February: Dear MBTA,
When buses are scheduled to run every seven minutes, no matter what time a rider arrives at a stop, there should not be a fifteen minute wait. (f-locked original for some weird reason)

March: Okay, I went to look at the best and worst dressed photos from the Oscars, and I don't get it.

April: Title: Little Bits of Junk
Harry Potter/Raiders of the Lost Ark
Neville Longbottom/Marion Ravenwood

May: I've been re-reading Orson Scott Card's How to Write Science Fiction and Fantasy (whatever you think of Card's politics, I recommend this book and his other, Characters and Viewpoint; they're good books about writing with good, solid, specific advice), and he mentions toward the end that someone a writer really needs is a "wise reader."

June: Sorry about editing out my whereabouts, but I decided it might not be a great idea to just broadcast, "Hey, I'll be in Mississippi for the better part of a week! House is open!" Hence, the removal of said information. Will post later.

July: When did that happen? Well, as is true on the first of each and every month, a new Saga Journal issue has arrived.

August: Shifts illos from sannalim make my day. Have a look!

September: It's the day of the full moon, and the werewolves are gathering in an unnamed forest. Remus has semi-befriended a teenage boy named Alderman and a scarred young girl who can't remember her name and calls herself Sweet. The adult werewolves are still excluding him in their conversations. Fenrir Greyback just arrived.

October: Well, I took a day off from worrying and went up to Salem to do a test run on walking around for TWH next weekend. What an absolutely adorable town. A little eccentric, but for a level-headed conservative girl, I have a remarkably high craving tolerance for eccentricities. (f-locked in original)

November: Well, I waited until 12:05 to start. I decided to go unplanned and just let it rip. And I got 1100 words in an hour.

December: Cute animal meme nicked from jiminyc.

Editing in another meme, because it doesn't deserve its own entry.

You Are 50% Boyish and 50% Girlish

You are pretty evenly split down the middle - a total eunuch.
Okay, kidding about the eunuch part. But you do get along with both sexes.
You reject traditional gender roles. However, you don't actively fight them.
You're just you. You don't try to be what people expect you to be.

Yup, that's actually pretty true. I think of myself as girly, at least insofar as I have no desiret be a man and never did, but honestly... I just don't care about the gender thing.
