Arisia - The Phantom Librarian
Spewing out too many words since November 2003
Well, I almost skipped arisia this year, but really, it's just not January in Boston if I don't trundle down to the Park Plaza and buy some new piece of clothing on Dealers' Row (this year, it's a little tie-dyed T-shirt dress... I can even wear it in Mundania!), and listen to panels. This year there was even a dance tonight. The perfect fannish dance--twenty people on the dance floor, all dancing alone. ;) (Well, that's not quite true. There were a couple of couples and a gang of little kids, but a whole lot of people, including me, just out there moving around for the hell of it.) I also went to a meeting about how to meet and talk to people. I've always found it amusing that Arisia makes a point of panels on how to socialize. Not so amusing that I don't take advantage of it, of course.

I saw gnomi in a panel about the Sapir-Whorff hypothesis, and tomorrow, I'll get down to the Con Suite for the LJ meetup, though I think all of the LJ Arisians I know online are already on my f-list.

I do enjoy being around fen.

Glad you're having fun.

I have a whole bunch of friends who went to Arisia. I would have liked to have gone, but I couldn't afford it. But I'm going to make it a point to go next year. :)
