Spewing out too many words since November 2003
Snagged from sannalim:

Go to Wikipedia and look up your birthday (excluding the year). List three neat facts, two births and two deaths in your journal, including the year.

Three Neat Facts
1567 - Mary Queen of Scots is deposed and replaced by her 1 year old son King James VI.

1847 - After 17 months of travel, Brigham Young leads 148 Mormon pioneers into Salt Lake Valley, resulting in the establishment of Salt Lake City

1969 - Apollo program: Apollo 11 splashes down safely in the Pacific Ocean.

Two Births
1802 - Alexandre Dumas père, French writer (d. 1870)

1916 - John D. MacDonald, American novelist, (d. 1986)

Two Deaths
1970 - Peter de Noronha, Indian buisnessman (b. 1897) (I picked him because he died the exact day I was born.)

1991 - Isaac Bashevis Singer, Polish-born Yiddish author, Nobel Prize laureate (b. 1904)

oh yay, another member of the Leos Club! I'm 8/1 and I've got nearly a complete set, especially centered around the beginning of the month. Soooo many late July-early August b-days...

July 24th, huh? You should come to Utah. We have HUGE parties across the state for your birthday.

With parades and everything!

(Actually, my parents live in a little town in northeastern Arizona that also celebrates the 24th of July, and I usually visit and watch their parade.)
