Is anyone watching Saturday Night Live Right now?

Hagrid: Hmm... I'd better go out to the woods and tame my dragon...

Uh no. It's after 2pm Sunday here. :~P And we probably won't get it for months anyway. *sigh* Joys of being on the other side of the world.

I just PM'd you at my forums about it. :) Not a bad skit. SuperHot!Hermione is going to be a staple in the movies, I fear. ;)

Oh, and Hagrid's line was good, but the twins' line was better...

"We're going to go beat the bludgers."

"Oh, you're going to play some Quidditch?"

It's not even ten o'clock here yet. Doesn't start for half an hour. Worth watching, then?

For that one sketch, yes. You'll know it when you see it.

What can I say but GOD BLESS THE INTERNET!! Yes, I was able to download the sketch 5mins ago (thanks to Wandlessmagic), and yes, thoroughly enjoyed it!
My kids are demanding to watch it again...

I was about to post and say 'don't bother'. I found it entirely unfunny, but hey...

Hurrah for Buttah over at Wandless Magic, eh? She does a great job.

I think it was just the Hermione!Sue factor. It was like watching the kind of fic that deleterius or pottersues sporks with regularity. Hawt!Hermione, wandless magic cool twins, Snape randomly appearing and not being able to help himself. All it really needed was Draco. Just the fact that these little inside jokes showed up amused me to no end.

I think it was the fact that whoever wrote it was a obviously fan, and it really was like SEEING one of 'those' fics in all its ludicrous glory. Yeah, I thought it was funny.

I think I didn't like it because there was only one joke, and everyone involved seemed to find themselves highly amusing. I tend to find the 'obviousness' and overstatement of American comedy (some, that is) totally unfunny - I don't need the existence of the joke to be shoved in my face at every moment, I think I'm capable of finding it myself.

Eep. Have I just offended everyone? *scurries away*

Yeah, but that's American comedy. You have to adjust your expectations accordingly. Go into it expecting something deeply witty (or British or Australian) then you're bound to be disappointed. ;~)

I was surprised; I actually found it quite funny. (A rarity for SNL anymore) I think my favorite parts was with the Weasley twins. When the music from the stereo came on, I laughed quite a bit. The Snape part could have been better, and the Hagrid part could have been as well. (Though his "noo..." is quite funny.)

Wrong topic to leave this in, but please be warned that the link to http://www.vadersmask.homestead.com/iyw.html on your fanfic page does not work.
