Poll #296556 Should I have an HP fic site?

I'm thinking of putting someplace together to put all these little drabbles and ficlets I've been doing on LJ, as well as the more "Major" things. Does this seem like a good idea?

Yes! It would be easier to keep track.
Not unless you plan to take MUCH better care of it than you do of Vader's Mask, thanks.
No, it would look... um, kind of egotistical.
No. The biggies are all up at SugarQuill.

If so, what should I name it? (If "Other," I'd be happy for suggestions.)

Of A Sort
Lines Of Descent
Just DON'T--repeat DO NOT--name it after one of your fics. I don't CARE if that's what you're housing there; it's tacky.

ETA: Just because... if more than five people think it's tacky to use a fic title, I won't, even if the two titles have more actual counts.

How about calling it "Spores"?

Should I run now?

I really, really like the word "frond." Maybe you should call them fronds. ;)

I like "Fronds" too. "Fern's Fronds." :)

Fern's Forbidden Forest Fronds. Featuring Loosey Lippity Lessons, of course...

Your poll doesn't allow me to say, "No, I don't think it would be a good idea to put your HP stuff elsewhere, as having your HP stuff in your LJ is already more convenient than having to search for it elsewhere."

Oh, it would still be here, too. It's just a place to stash it more attractively than the list of memory posts.

I too would love to have an archive of your drabbles and ficlets. I've especially enjoyed the ones starring the various Tonkses and it would be nice to know they are all together in an easily accessible place.

Well, I filled in the poll but let's jsut say I for one woudl find it just...handy to have an author either put up a page somewhere with all their fics i noen place or a page wit hlinks (and i' myour case it'sprobably goingto be a site because there's lots of ficlets and stuff within yoru Lj). but I'v experienced lifewhat it's liek to stumble on an author who's say on SQ and then...hey, on schnoogle, thedarkarts, astronomytower. Oh? ther's LOTR-fic on fanfiction.net too. ah! they have their own site as well!
NOt annoying, jsu somewhat frustrating and puzzling sometimes buthe "they ahv etheir own site" part is handy if one links or hosts all their fics there in a handy place.

Generally ifI rec fics I either use a link for man archive or for mtheir own site, adn fro mLJ only if it'sj ust not moved yet. I'm poindering even to jsut link to the most comfortable-readable format for me (as in, man yreasons why ff.net is a bit meh for me to use, and FA is the easiest alogn with theirownhoomepage, with sugarquill comign very very close (I think it's the dropdown menuor chapter listthing vs a link or button sayign next) and LJ jsut beign ther if it's nowher esleandI want others to see it.)
So? Fern's HP fics? i'm not goign to screa mviolentl yif yo uname it after afic but it sounds handier to me to have a more general name fora site.
