Oof. My girl Gina is gone! Definitely not what I would have picked. Of course, I don't bother voting, so I probably don't have much of a right to say anything. But sheesh. Granted, this wasn't the week for Sanjaya to go--he had an actually decent performance this week. But he should have gone last week. Sigh.

I'd totally buy a Gina album, though. She reminds me of the girl singers I always liked, like Pat Benatar or Joan Jett. (Well, I also liked Cyndi Lauper, who she doesn't remind me of, but hey.) I was hoping she'd get a chance to do "I Love Rock and Roll" or maybe "Invincible" sometime.

Hey, at least she won't get stuck with the lousy winner contract; maybe she can get a better one.

I think it should have been Haley this week.

I actually cried this week. And I feel guilty, because I meant to vote for her and forgot. (Not that my vote would've actually, you know, meant anything. But still. :\)

Yeah, me too, actually. Just a little bit. I liked her. I liked her going through auditions three times, I liked the girl rocker thing, and I liked the stupid stuffed pickle.

This is sort of how I felt after Constantine Maroulis got voted off. Kind of... what the hell? (I know, I know, the dread Constantine. But I thought he was a cool performer, and I'd have liked to have seen more of him.)

I was on the phone with jules1278 moments after the results...and I too, cried. I was so completely bummed out by this. *sigh* I would have loved to seen what Gina could have accomplished and am just more'n a bit miffed about the results.

It's just teh suck.

I was pretty devastated (well, as much as is reasonable given the *actual* bearing on my life) after Chris left last week. He'd had a really bad week, but it was his first bad performance, and he wasn't the worst. In any case, I figured I'd keep watching, primarily for Gina. So now Gina's gone ... If nothing else, I figured that Gina would have picked up quite a few votes from people who had been rooting for Chris! Maybe it was just because she stepped out of her genre. Obviously she *had* to this week, and she did it extremely well, but it may have meant that people who normally voted for her weren't inspired to (or weren't watching) this week.

And yes, Haley was definitely the weakest performance this week.
