Atkinson, Corin (S)-h
Small brown-haired boy who is a smooth talker. Called "Corky." His mother is a pure-blood (Gamp), who married a Canadian half-blood. They fled to his home in Toronto, but she convinced him to come to the U.K. so Corky could go to Hogwarts. (ETA: In the interim, Corky's hair has turned blond and become curly.)
Burke, Maurice (S)-p
Of the oldest pure-blood families, Maurice's parents saw the writing on the wall during the OotP year, when it was obvious that the Prophet was lying. They left the country, giving Borgin full control of the shop, and settled comfortably in the Falklands until after the war. Maurice is Slytherin enough--a little sneaky and secretive--but is actually pretty ashamed of his family and is one of the few boys in the year to make an attempt at making friends with Teddy. Small, with black hair and brown eyes.
Chapman, Laura (H)-h
A pretty girl, not very bright, with fluffy blonde hair and china blue eyes. Her mother was an Abbot, and worked as a model. She was living abroad during the war to work, and married a Muggle photographer. Laura has a crush on Teddy.
Deverill, Constance (R)-p
Daughter of the Puddlemere United team manager, she was born early in the year (Oct) and is the eldest of the year's students. Philbert Deverill used his Quidditch connections to get his wife and child to New Zealand. Oliver Wood forced Philbert to go as well, since Death Eaters had been spotted trying to Imperius a rival coach into a massive destruction during a match. Constance is all right, but incensed at how many families have disappeared, and the attitude of "Good riddance" that is popular. Strawberry blonde with hazel eyes.
Driscoll, Franklin (R)-m
A working class boy, the son of a factory worker, with horrible grammar, but an unusually sharp mind. Teddy's equal in class, but distinctly socially backward. He doesn't make friends very easily, and freaks out at Teddy's overtures of friendship. Curly brown hair, glasses. The best flyer in the year, from their flying lessons, which delights him, as it's totally magical... and because his mother is an RAF pilot, and a bit of a hotshot.
Duke, Donald McCormack (R)-p
Son of the Weird Sisters guitarist, Kirley McCormack Duke, he arrives at school in a cloud of celebrity for which Teddy is grateful, as it obscures any notice of Teddy himself. He is not remotely interested in making friends. With anyone at all. He keeps up correspondence with various other celebrity children around the world, and is quite taken with himself. Tells anyone who will listen (not many, the longer the years go on) that all of his friends call him "Donzo." Muggle-borns call him "Duck." He and his mother were farmed out to friends in the American band, The Pondhoppers, the year he was born. (NOTE: I'm sure you've noticed, this character changed a LOT once he opened his mouth and started talking.)
Gudgeon, Ernestine (H)-p
Davey Gudgeon's late in life daughter, she has a good knowledge of the Whomping Willow. A plain girl with gapped teeth and flat hair, she is nevertheless confident and comfortable, even when Honoria teases her. She's mad about Frankie. In the Forest Guard at Teddy's invite. Davey just kept his head down and kept doing his Ministry drudgery and kept his pregnant wife out of everyone's sights. (One of Umbridge's secretaries?) Called Tinny.
Higgs, Honoria (S)-p
The daughter of the Slytherin Seeker from PS/SS, Honoria is coolly beautiful, with blue eyes and black hair. She knows everything about everyone, and doesn't hesitate to announce her classmate's bloodlines and peccadilloes. She particularly loathes Teddy as a werewolf's son, and shares her belief that all werewolves should be sterilized. She also expresses the opinion that his parents must have been too stupid to avoid the pregnancy in the middle of a war (her parents took a holiday in Belize and waited for it all to blow over), and then didn't care enough about him to even bother to stay alive. Of course, who could blame his mother, stuck with a werewolf... though she's heard that Tonks was just as crazy as the animal she married, and probably killed herself.
Hunter, Jane (S)-m
A very bright girl with brown hair and green eyes. Her mother is a professor of neurology and her father a professor of philosophy. She's always trying to find the physical basis of magic, and really wants to compare blood under an electron microscope, or do a DNA profile.
Lupin, Teddy (G)-h
Remus and Tonks's son. PoV.
Lynch, Brendan (S)-p
Son of the Irish keeper. He has bright red hair, a flat and freckled nose, and an unpleasantly wide mouth. He's Honoria's henchman. Not very bright. Mother also escaped through "Quidditch network."
Palmer, Joseph (H)-m
Quiet kid, into things that Teddy isn't, particularly, but not a bad sort.
Phillips, Geoffrey (R)-m
Wants to reform the whole of wizarding society, always saying what's being done wrong, why it's awful, and how it would be fixed if they did X, Y, or Z from the Muggle world. Is the one most commonly heard expressing the idea that it's a good thing that the pure-blood families are "finally" dying out.
Richardson, Elizabeth (R)-m
Lizzie was almost caught when she used accidental magic shortly after birth, and was put, with her parents, into a safe house by Hestia and Dedalus (the same one the Dursleys were in, though she has no idea). Her mother writes children's picture books and her father illustrates them.
Young, Roger (H)-m
A nerdy boy who's obsessed with birds. He spends a lot of time at Hagrid's, hoping for magical birds to be studied, even though he's not old enough, and Hagrid is especially fond of him. Tinny invites him into the Forest Guard.
The Forest Guard
Tinny--invited by Teddy
Roger--invited by Tinny.
The imaginative head of the Forest Guard, determined to save the world from some evil that he feels must still exist, though all he's really been able to find are minor annoyances. For reasons of his own, he believes the evil to be in the Forbidden Forest. During the course of the year, he changes his beliefs, and decides that souls taken by Dementors must live there somewhere, and he will rescue them all. Third year.
His best friend (other than Teddy), who wants to be an Auror, and is determined to prove she can fight evil. She's really not very good at it, and isn't even particularly good at ducking curses from first years.
Frankie's other best friend in his year, who's a bit of a skeptic, but always along for the ride because it's fun. Is jealous of Teddy's metamorphosing, but in a good way.
Bad case of acne, sort of a tagalong.
Ruth "Ruthless" Scrimgeour
Great niece of Rufus Scrimgeour, tomboy, a bit of a wild child, and not an especially attractive girl. Second year. Teddy has something of a crush on her, though he doesn't really recognize it as such.
Fifth year prefect, spotty, a little nervous.
