Please, God, that when they pick up the series, they don't try to turn it into something turgid and deep. I mean, it's KNIGHT RIDER, for crying out loud. Let it be its own bad self, k? That's what makes it amusing, and I need something amusing on TV!
On the quality level... man, Monk totally delivered in the season finale. I mean, great mystery, nice character work, some light moments, and a little sliver of the arc. That's how to do an arc--just touch on it now and then, and know it's there, but do episodes that a new viewer can pick up on. I sure wouldn't have been able to pick up the series in season four if the whole thing had been about the search for Trudy's killer.
And Psych... I love you, you silly thing, but you play your secrets badly. I spotted the oncoming "surprise" at the end of the season about four episodes ago. It's weirdly charming, in that it's a very child-like way to play a secret, but please don't try it again. It will only work once.
Dear USA Network: Six weeks is not a season. It just isn't.
